Ten years since I served on Hurricane Katrina

I was in the Gulf Coast, mostly in Mobile, Alabama but also in Orange Beach and Citronelle, providing disaster mental health service with the American Red Cross.  I served 9/8-22/05 and the experience continues to teach and strengthen me.  It centered me, taught me priorities, taught me what actual loss and suffering are in contrast to the fake melodramatic nonsense of daily life.
